Why I Built FDE Instinct

I built FDE Instinct because preparing for Forward Deployed Engineer roles shouldn't feel like guesswork.

The Problem

When I started exploring FDE roles, I noticed something frustrating: there was no single place to understand what these companies actually look for. Job descriptions are vague. Interview formats vary wildly. And the skills that matter most — client communication, system design under constraints, production deployment — are rarely covered by traditional coding prep platforms.

How Content Is Built

Every piece of content on FDE Instinct goes through a structured process:

• Job description analysis — We study real FDE, Solutions Engineer, and AI Deployment Engineer postings from companies like Palantir, Scale AI, Vercel, Databricks, and similar organizations.
• Interview pattern research — We analyze publicly shared interview experiences, Glassdoor reviews, and community discussions to identify recurring question types.
• Technical accuracy review — Code examples and architecture discussions are based on real production patterns (vLLM, Kubernetes, RAG systems, etc.).
• Case study sourcing — Cases are classified by source type: public case analysis, reconstructed scenarios, composite scenarios, or educational simulations. Each case clearly states its origin.

What This Is Not

FDE Instinct is not a certification program. It does not guarantee job placement. It is not affiliated with Palantir, Scale AI, Vercel, Databricks, Snowflake, or any other company mentioned on this site. Company names are used for market reference and role context only.

AI in the Platform

Some content is generated with AI assistance and then reviewed for accuracy. The Interview Simulator uses AI to provide feedback on your answers. We do not use your data to train AI models. Your assessment results and interview responses are processed in real-time and not stored unless you explicitly save them.
